ABOUT ME

Ellen C Scott is a journalist, editor, podcaster, and writer, currently working as the acting digital content director for Stylist magazine. She was previously the lifestyle and weekend editor at Metro, along with the co-creator and co-host of mental health podcast Mentally Yours, which was shortlisted for a Mind Media Award. During Ellen's time at Metro, she created successful online content series including What I Rent, How I Save, Better Living, and Getting Better; a personal exploration of her experience of OCD and depression, growing both the site's overall traffic and loyal reader base.

Having coined the term ‘chronoworking’ and having been the first to cover topics such as quiet quitting and bare minimum Mondays for online news sites, Ellen is deeply interested in the world of work, our relationship with our careers, and how to find contentment in this major area of our lives. She discussed this as co-host on Bruce Daisley's podcast, Eat, Sleep, Work, Repeat and explores work further on the Working On Purpose newsletter.

Ellen also writes fiction and is in the process of writing a novel along with short stories. She lives in London with her partner and their cat, Babka.

Ellen is represented by Rowan Lawton at The Soho Agency for writing and Alice Saunders at The Soho Agency for speaking and expertise.
